Hi Anita,

I’ve seen a huge starling display (on Bodmin Moor) and it was spectacular. Just up the road from here I frequently see smaller, but still fascinating, starling displays. I hope you get to see one soon

I also live quite near a huge rookery and they’re quite often my morning alarm call when they all set off in a big noisy group out into the surrounding fields for the day

We have a lot of Robins here, and I think Starlings. We get the occasional crow on the golf course and the other morning the front hedge was filled with sparrows. It was lovely to see them

My sister told me that as she drove into Yeovil yesterday, hundreds of daffodils were out along the road side!

A lot of bulbs are growing through my lawn that are due to flower much later.

It may not be a good year for snowdrops unfortunately, as they need a cold winter to thrive. I will be keeping my eyes peeled though.

Lovely variety of posts there, Anita I really enjoy all your nature posts and I look forward to reading your 2012 posts.

I thought of you this morning – I had a bit of hunt for snowdrops in the garden but there’s no sign of them yet. However, I do have some primroses flowering and I felt very sorry for a poor old solitary bumble bee flying around looking for flowers – this warmer winter seems to have made things all out of kilter in the garden.
