Love that squirrel too … shame I don’t see many in my garden but with three cats and two dogs, squirrels’ time here is very limited! Beautiful shots, Anita. Suzan St Maur recently posted..Hello, Pinterspammers … no, we’re not that stupid
I used to feed the cheeky squirrels who seemed to appreciate the postage stamp sized back garden that formed our part of their territory.
I was even happy buying some nuts that I only ever had a few of and to distribute the rest to the squirrels. That was until the day came home to find the debris from nut remainders (whatever you call that – skins? cases?) all over our kitchen – which overlooks said garden. They’d used the cat flap that we’d forgotten was still set to allow entry, despite the fact we no longer had any of our chums with us.
We don’t often get squirrels in our garden (there aren’t many big trees here by the coast) but I occasionally see one rushing through – I suspect they come to steal birds’ eggs! They move so fast – you did well to capture this one so perfectly Angela Boothroyd recently posted..Phrasal verb: drift off
Great photos, and yes, I am fond of that squirell too. For me however, I appreciate the 3rd photo. I love the detail of the crocii and the cyclamen growing naturally in the grass. The colours and hues are lovely. Well done.
Gorgeous! Top photo: saucer magnolia? That tree is one of my favorite springtime bloomers. So gorgeous and elegant.
Like everyone else who has commented, I love the squirrel. Our back yard is full of them–and our squirrels must be more bold (or more crazy) than Suze’s because they persist in visiting despite the presence of the five dogs who live here. One of said dogs is nicknamed Artemis because she is such a good squirrel hunter . . . but even she can’t keep them away when there are bird feeders to be raided! Mary C. Love the squirrel! He looks so cute, how did you get such a great shot of him?

Thanks, Anita. He would have loved it, especially today as it would have been his 100th birthday.

Love the squirrel, Anita – he looks just like Hank the wee chappie who lives in the neighbours cherry tree at the back of my yard. It’s fascinating to watch them spring and fly between trees without falling!

Our back garden is also used as a fox highway – don’t ask!

Bird feeders + Squirrels oh yes, we had a squirrel completely wreck one of ours, for desperation to get at the nuts.
